First Alert Weather: Changes on the way this weekend

Although clouds will be more common than sun, a cold front will spark showers on Sunday.

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) -Clouds will be around for this evening and tonight across North Central Wisconsin. Lows slipping back into the low to mid 20s.

Saturday is the start of the gun deer hunting season. Unlike some years past, there will be no tracking snow in Central Wisconsin, and only limited amounts of snow on the ground in parts of the north. Temperatures on Saturday are going to be seasonable for the second half of November. Mostly cloudy on Saturday with afternoon readings topping out in the upper 30s to low 40s.

A cold front will blast into the region on Sunday. Mostly cloudy with snow showers possible from midday into the afternoon, while lake effect snow develops in the far north. Becoming breezy with highs in the mid to upper 30s. The snow showers will taper off in Central Wisconsin Sunday night, while the flakes will continue to fly in the lake effect snow belts in the far north. Colder air will be working in Sunday night and sticking around for Monday.

Some sunshine on Monday but chilly. Daytime temperatures will struggle to make it out of the 20s to around 30. Wind chill values on Monday will be down in the single digits to around zero in the morning, and in the teens for the afternoon.

Milder air returns on Tuesday with a fair amount of sunshine. Highs in the low 40s. Wednesday is a big travel day and it appears there will be some wet weather in the works for the middle day of the week, but not enough rain to cause big problems on the roads or by plane. Highs in Wednesday in the low to mid 40s. Turkey Day on Thursday will feature more clouds than intervals of sunshine with highs in the upper 30s. Black Friday is partly cloudy and seasonably cool with highs in the mid 30s.
