First Alert Weather: A beautiful weekend ahead, changes on tap for the new week

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - Tranquil tonight with a mostly clear sky. Lows ranging from the low to mid 50s north, to the mid to upper 50s central and south. Intervals of sun with a few clouds on Saturday and Sunday. Great weather for the Taste N’ Glow event in Marathon, Chaulk Fest in Downtown Wausau, the Iola Car Show, and Hodag up north. Highs in the mid to upper 70s.

Changes are headed our way starting Monday with more clouds and chances for showers, perhaps a storm. Highs on Monday in the low 70s. Considerable cloudiness Tuesday with scattered showers and a chance of a storm. High in the mid 70s. Wednesday a cold front is forecast to move our way during the afternoon into the evening. The day may start with some sun, followed by increasing clouds. There is a risk of storms going into the early evening hours, some of which might be strong to severe. We are going to monitor Wednesday for a possible First Alert Weather Day. Highs around 80. Partly cloudy and staying warm for Thursday and next Friday with highs in the low to mid 80s.
