First Alert Weather Day for strong to severe thunderstorms
Additional storms are expected this evening, some severe.
WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - The next round of strong to severe storms are expected from 5 PM to 9 PM. Mainly south of Hwy 29. The main threats are damaging winds up to 60 mph, large hail of 1″ or bigger, along with locally heavy rainfall. There is a small chance of an isolated tornado. The storms will shift southeast with a cold front as the evening goes along, with the storms moving out of the area by midnight. Some clouds overnight with lows in the low to mid 60s.
Friday features a mix of sun and clouds, still a bit humid. Highs in the low 80s. The weekend features more clouds than breaks of sun with a risk of scattered storms on Saturday, and a chance of showers or storms on Sunday. Highs in the mid 70s.
